   Installing !Linux !Mint 12 on my Mom's lappy. Replacing !Kubuntu 8.04 (yeah, yeah...). Hope She'll like the change!

     @rysiek Why not Kubuntu 11.10? After customize KDE 4.x can be similar to 3.x, and Mint have a completely different interface.

     @piorekf yeah, but I am trying to unify what my family uses. !Mint seems a good bet, and I was burnt by !kubuntu, and esp. #Akonadi.

     @headphonica because it's for my Mom. #LMDE might be IMVHO a bit too unstable/rough at the edges. /me uses #aptosid anyway

     hm, well... i've seen mint12 to be not really reliable - despite that #LMDE requires some initial adjustments, but runs very stable then :|
