:D <3 ♻ @forteller: Awesome! RT @larre: GoDaddy lost 21,054 domains yesterday in wake of SOPA PR disaster tnw.to/1CMq1 /via @TheNextWeb
- onny repeated this.
-
~0.05% of domains registered at GoDaddy. Daily losses due to expiry must be lots higher than that.

hopefully the long-term customer loss is far greater. #godaddy

@mlinksva precisely. that's why we're trumpeting that. make the PR disaster even more disastrous :)

In other news, I am having a great time with gandi.net.

@maiki I thought their name was suspect long before hearing anything else about them. Never a customer.

gandi.net or hover.com (tucows) as each have donated to !cc and stable and competent. with ps DNS !problematic & wish !autonomous registrar
-
gandi.net used to be run by Free Software enthusiasts (& released code) but they sold the business, unfortunately. Not as great as before.
-
@maiki exactly. not a company, but i've v. very slight nostalgia for en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Storm_the_Studio nonfree, meat, !disturbing
-
@bkuhn glad to hear they did once release code, sad to hear no more, and I guess will eventually be an indistinguishable company...
-
@bkuhn ...I see softwarefreedomconservancy.org and ebb.org are registered at gandi. ∄ a better option currently, eh?
