In my case, the connection relies on lazy generalization: speed metal = hardcore music w/diminished political / ethical agenda.

Actually, #Metallica was traditionally a cross-over point for the metal heads & hard core punks: "…& Justice for All" was highly political.

@bkuhn and a fairly good alubm to boot. Thou the mechanical drums are a touch flaky… Master of Puppets is still the best thou.
