      I don't know about lightness or dependencies, but I know there is a Ruby implementation of OStatus called #rstatus. http://rstat.us/

      @lnxwalt @rpcutts Unfortunately it looks like RStatus's database (MongoDB) isn't really deployable with my webhost.
