@mvdan I gave awesome a shot (not bad) but slicking w/ fluxbox for now. didn't try ranger, don't know how you could improve on mc

I used to enjoy fluxbox for a while as well. Awesome IMHO is better since it is dynamic, but it is harder to configure.

Never used mc, though. I work with coreutils; I just use ranger when handling lots of files.

@mvdan your statement was very accurate, it was config problems that turned me off. Corrected them today, Awesome working great now!

I have my configs up at gitorious, including awesome's rc.lua. I'll update now, if you're interested.
