     @bkuhn source code was released yesterday, under Apache 2.0 license, seems pretty Free to me

     @bkuhn, It's loaded with proprietary Google applications, and my understanding is that you can't flash it, or at least not the kernel.So,no.

     @jmca, note @johnsu01's point:"loaded with proprietary Google applications". My guess: #g1 has FaiF core OS and nothing else. Plus bad ToS.
