I love how !London commuters are always sprinting around like they're going to miss their trains. Just get out of bed earlier, lazy fucks..
about a year ago from mustard-
@mo6020 Ug. you sound like a morning person. I'll bet you whistle ... or run the vacuum when your partner is trying to sleep in.
-
@mo6020 they're mostly just optimising the commute, I can cut a couple of hours a week from my commute if I get it all right
-
@laurelrusswurm I hate getting up, but its a necessary pain..
-
@jimh I'd rather get up early ans leisurely make my way into town. Its not like I'm saving anything by getting an extra 20 mins at home
-
Another way to avoid this is not to work or live in a major city.
-
@mo6020 if I got up for an earlier train it'd be at 5:40 & still only get me in 20 mins earlier, I'd rather get more sleep & rush a bit
-
@mo6020 three days of it makes an hour. 8o
-
@mo6020 or they could get the next train 3 minutes after the one they're running for.
-
@rpcutts exactly
-
@jimh You clearly come further than me, my train only takes 30 mins to Waterloo
-
@mo6020 that'd be nice, my commute's just under 2 hours door to door, there's no way I'd want to make it any longer
-
@mo6020 Your are angling to replace @rpcitts as our resident train rambler.
-
@andyc the boy has got potential but he needs to work on his end product.

@andyc trains - I love them - what's not to like
-
EVERYTHING
-
@mcnalu Trains are great when everything works - which is something the UK seems to be unable to manage
-
@reality ok, that, but what else?
-
@jimh Yeh that's pretty brutal, I can see why you'd want to save time on that
-
@jimh 4 hours daily? Is that Southampton to London?
-
@andyc Kent from the looks of his profile
-
@mcnalu I like trains – as long as I get a seat. I like listening to music, reading and thinking.
-
@mo6020 Whitstable rings a distant bell.
-
@expatpaul well here trains are clean, punctual and rarely overcrowded. as I approach london these become less true.
-
@andyc exactly my reasoning too
-
and now i'm on a train :)
-
@andyc Whitstable to Canary Wharf, about 50 miles as the crow flies, so much for high speed rail...
-
Canary Wharf – ooh = get you ! :-)

@andyc or - as I prefer to call it - Mordor. CF's pretty shit really, like Croydon but without the glamour
