Oh btw, at least my StatusNet instance has URL shortening options at /settings/url, so try http://identi.ca/settings/url

@mvdan I have it activated over 140, but the setting isn't taken into account when using API, only when using web.

@mmn Yup, it only ever works from the web though, API notices always get shortened regardless of settings.

same for me. I have drupal sites which already have a short form (/node/id) and there shortening just increases load time and kills links.

@mtux Nope, in Choqok we don't get the tree-like structure :) Also, hmm, the conversation icon isn't exactly easy to understand.
