fuck this, I'm officially unsubscribing from EVERY Identica groups BECAUSE of the #pollspam - I guess Ill miss a few folks & have to resub
about a year ago from heybuddy-
@thistleweb not a bad idea , but i think the worse group for #pollspam is !linux

@mvdan even filtering Poll: doesn't work, they come through anyway

@mvdan if it can, I don't know the magical spell, nothing I know works, responses are localised so you can't even filter words

@mvdan I'm seriously sick of "voted for..." to some inane question I don't care about, from people I don't know & can't block

@mvdan you can't even filter the multi language translation of "voted for" - it doesn't work anyway

@jonkulp @thistleweb or block w/a text filter in !mustard. Filter string "voted for" & you won't see 'em again. I do this. :)

@jonkulp I am using HeyBuddy, filters don't work for me - I still get polls and responses no matter what I do, leaving groups seems to work

Ah, too bad. There must be a workaround, though. @evan might know the answer.

@thistleweb that's weird. I never see those things anymore. My the groups I sub to don't do 'em very much.

@jonkulp perhaps the group mods should be clamping down to avoid pissing people off "NO POLLS!"

@thistleweb if you check "ignore activity posts" you still see activities? Or are polls not activities? string filter "voted for" shd work.
