1. Luke Slater Linux , KDE

   The only problem I'm having with !linux at the minute is that it's draining my battery really quickly. Perhaps it's !kde 4's fault?

     @reality check that you have kdes power saving packages installed (for gnome it was gnome-extra)

     @reality Probably the GPU? try turning off most of the animations and see how that helps

     @reality I think the !linux kernel may not be optimized for low power consumption, and !kde on top of it is definitely not helping. :)

     @khosrow erm, there are lpia optimized kernels for intel atom e.g. Howecer, my dual core can run up to 6hrs and more (9 cell battery).
