    gparted (as root) will not wipe FAT32 off my microSD card. have tried multiple computers (and phones). What should I do? toss the card?

      @douglasawh That's bizarre. I suppose you could drop to the commandline and try fdisk.

      looks like I spoke too soon. I can't take a screenshot of the Android bizarreness because screenshots have to go to the unavailable SD card.
