I think just having a Social room would be great. Federated implied but not necessary. How do we make it happen?

@evan Sadly I'm not yet sure. Maybe the XMPP folks could help us since they know how to run a room? Support from W3C community group?

Why does it need to be at FOSDEM? Couldn't we have just a small part of it at FOSDEM, and other parts spread all over the world?

It doesn't have to be at #FOSDEM, but if I'm going to FOSDEM next year I'd like to talk to other social-software developers.

I think we'd just apply and then fill the day with talks & conversations we find interesting/important. Might help to have some VIPs.

I think it's possible to create new dev rooms. Seems like there's a lot of activity here, too.

@eximious yes Legal Issues was new (as were several others)… ULB gave us an extra building (hopefully that will continue)

We have traditionally hosted Federated Social Web talks in our Jabber/XMPP Devroom, in coordination with the FOSDEM team. Most welcome!
