Question: If I get a Static IP bundled with my ADSL connection, will my outgoing mails stop getting flagged as spam? !linux (#spf works btw)
-
Not at all IMHO. You need to have a reverse-DNS matching the FQDN of your SMTP machine for sure, but this is no guarant…
-
Dent #1: Not necessarily. It's entirely up to the receiving end what to consider spam/not spam.
-
Dent #2: As an example, your ISP may have contributed their IP ranges they assign to customers to an RBL.
-
Dent #3 Because there are some that (incorrectly) believe that those IP ranges shouldn't be sending email on their own.
-
Or even because the recipient is trusting a 3rd-party RBL in wich your ISP had been included as a result of some previous spammer/botnet
-
Gmal and gmx (as an example) have all dynamic IP ranges blacklisted.
