@osc I had the same problem, I needed to add module snd_cmipci manually in rc.conf

@osc Same problem here :( I don't know what's going on, it's really buggy since a couple of weeks… Didn't had time to investigate though…

@ravenman ...snd_hda_codec_{hdmi,realtek}.are loaded in your case?in alsamixer are unmuted this channel? w/pulseaudio installed too?

@ravenman sorry to did'nt anwer before.I'd read about your K53E,is solved the sound?I found that is Realtek ALC299VB w/modules snd_hda_intel
