@lstench you can export your current account and then import it into your new instance
-
Wait i can't merge the accounts?
-
If I don't get too frustrated...
-
@lstench frustrated with us or me :-{
-
merging accounts would be awesome.
-
@douglasawh Yes, I'd like a #merge or #move accounts feature.
-
@lstench short version: untar on your server, a+w a few directories, set up your database, fill in statusnet/install.php
-
okay I see. Should I setup a separate database for this?
-
I meant the installation and setup process.
-
@lstench Yes.
-
@lstench ah, ok. I was worried about repulsing another person.
-
The cheap way to do it is to use the feed system.
-
@lstench You need a separate database for statusnet, yes. you can use mysql, pgsql, or sqlite
-
Okay I am trying to set it up now will see how it goes.
-
@lstench yeah, that's what gets displayed at the top left
