@nybill I wonder why yours is slow? Mine is on a crappy server and it's plenty fast.

@jonkulp TBH, I find I'm using identica more now that it is stable. My instance is too slow. And when I check it I'm always logged out.

@nybill something's definitely wrong then. My server only has 768mb ram, oldish processor, it does this stuff almost instantly.

@jonkulp I don't know, takes about 30sec to refresh, 30sec to log in, 30sec to go to replies, etc...

@nybill true, the fiber might make a difference. Is the queue daemon running?

@jonkulp NP I tend to dent from what ever the interface I'm on is logged into. HB is identica the Web is GMN and Mustard could be either.

I ran a server with ~6 active users for two weeks on a crappy netbook with an ADSL (6mbps down/0.6mbps up) and the API ran quite fast.

@mvdan Yea, I'm thinking something is wrong. I just don't know enough about it to know where to look. Maybe we'll SSH in from the LUG.

Check ports, logs, router, dhcp...

@mvdan ports forwarded, static IP, router's fine, and the logs don't show anything strange. It may be a permisson problem. Mix of root&user.
