@expatpaul my uncle took me to see it shortly after its release, in blackpool as i was off school having had a appendectomy

@r7 My Dad took my brother and I to see it on it's opening weekend. We queued around the block. Literally

Haven't thought of #starwars action figures in forever. Recall deep sorrow on losing Lea's tiny plastic gun. Those were #lawsuitsinwaiting.

When it 1st came out in 1977, I saw it at a drive-in, from the bed of my Dad's Chevy Custom pick-up truck, with a bag of homemade popcorn.
