Trying to set up friendika. On initial registration page there's no password field. What's up?I wasn't able to log in after creating accnt

@jonkulp You should get an e-mail with the password. Make sure the admin e-mail and the first account e-mail are the same.

@lstench it's !friendica and for me it's because it's got more of a clue about the free web than the alternatives

@lstench just testing. Probably won't use it. Don't need another service to keep track of but it's fun setting up web apps.

@lnxwalt Someday Friendica accounts will double as an OpenID, if that saves you trouble searching. Don't know how soon that will be though.

@morph I'm planning to try connecting my SN acct with friendica tonight. Need to set up OAuth on SN first, I think. Gotta read up on it.

I think the OAuth part of Status.net is my favorite part - I was really psyched when @psquid discovered that. :)

@jonkulp It will be in the source of your profile page, but I think you need to enable the OpenID plugin first.

@mike I can't find the source in the source tree, do you just "view page source"? Add this "addPlugin('OpenID');" to config.php?

@mike ok I have those lines now, and have added them to the <head> section of a page on my server, but it doesn't seem to do anything.

@jonkulp when I put that url into the openid field of another site it just says "login failed"

@jonkulp when you enable the plugin then there is a web admin panel for some settings.

@jonkulp You may need them to be in a page on the webroot of a server; some sites fail to handle openid URLs with anything after the domain.
