@cyberkiller #pidgin has a "voice/video settings" option under Tools, but doesn't seem to work for Yahoo Messenger accounts.
-
@prvteprts I don't see anything like that (I use it for xmpp), I only have text or audio chat
-
@cyberkiller yes, it does
-
@gvs or if it does support it then it's the most hidden option I have ever (not)seen - I only have option to audio chat & not with everyone
-
@cyberkiller Not sure... I'm using a laptop which has a built-in webcam.
-
@prvteprts I see here that audio and video chats are WIP in #Pidgin http://ur1.ca/8t4zr
-
@cyberkiller Well, better late than never :D #pidgin
-
@cyberkiller Pidgin got video support since version 2.6.0 on supported backends like Jingle and SIP if the servers supports it.
-
empathy or pidgin, under what protocol? MSN, XMPP, SIP?
-
@ciberkiller so i can make a video call with a generic jabber account, or do i need to register on a SIP server?
-
@ark74 pidgin + xmpp
-
my bad, it was @cyberkiller :P sorry
-
pidgin + xmpp
-
@parlementum i'll give it a try, have you try it being behind a NAT?
-
@redbaptist great minds… :)
-
...think alike.

@ark74 jitsi http://jitsi.org

@ark74 sip and xmpp

@ark74 the site says a normal jabber account should be enough, I haven't used the program myself too much though as the gui is not too good
