   I wish there was some way to *permanently* turn MUTE off in !Trisquel... it is annoying to have to switch it on *every time* I reboot :(

     @laurelrusswurm Set your sound levels & mute options. Run: sudo alsactl store. Now levels should be saved & auto-loaded at boot. man alsactl

     Thanks @valkov ... I tried it, hopefully correctly :) But it should be easier...when making menu selections, there should be "save" option

     @laurelrusswurm As far as I remember it should happen automatically @ poweroff. Had to used it manually recently in Trisquel. Might be a bug

     @valkov could be... I've had some powering down issues, mostly it doesn't shut off gently, so I keep it on most of the time :-/
