     @sandersch why bother? We have great (open) alternatives and a couple of free providers (or yourself if you don't mind paying for hosting).

     owncloud obviously. Also there is generally stronger laws to protect your data if you host from home.

     @samatjain yeah the android client only allows file management... Though you can access calendars and contacts through CardDav and CalDav.
