Trying to do some work on a Windows system.Frustrating. Do people actually use this OS to get serious stuff done or is it mostly for gaming?

I’m pretty sure 90% of windows user use just outlook, iexplorer and word.

I've heard rumours of people actually doing development in Windows. Poor guys. I'm so happy I don't have to touch this normally :-)

@macno Most Windows users don’t have Outlook. You have to buy the pro version of MSOffice to get it. They use IE, iTunes, Word, Excel.

I work on Windows all day. The only applications I generally use are Google Chrome and PuTTY. For some things I have to use 32 bit IE though

@gomerx in my part time gig i only use windows. it is actually installed on an imac. mac hardware. windows software lol

@thelovebug I haven’t seen any of those myself. I think it is more about ease of account setup than anything else.

Mail clients, almost any of them, are faster and more featureful than webmail. Not necessarily easier to use, though.

Yes, we have a few Macs that dual boot Windows 7 and Mac OS. It works OK, although iMacs seem to fail more than any other hardware we have
