   God damn it, why does this always happen? I make some excellent passphrase, use it in a key, then promptly forget it.

     This case is especially bad, because I remembered about 95% of it perfectly. I just couldn't remember three letters at the end.

     #keepass is your friend. I only know the passwords to a few critical services. The rest are safely tucked away in an encrypted database.

     @ratfink Heh, I should have. I just hacked it with a live CD. (win7 came on this laptop. I set the password then didn't use win7 for 2months
