<Ctrl-a> # Move your cursor to the beginning of the line. Faster than holding down left arrow. In screen, you need to press <Ctrl-a a>
-
@climagic dosn't <Ctrl-a a> in a screen session switch to the previous window?
-
@timttmy works fine here in screen
-
It gets really bad when you're nesting screen sessions 3 deep and you want to go to the begining of the line.
-
@theru works here too ;p
-
@timttmy ctrl +a +? :) - which means I've not ended up with split windows :( /me needs to stay away from that
-
@theru never played with split screens. I use terminator for that.
-
@timttmy same here - but this was on my file server - always a screen session running there. And I got curious and was stuck with a split
-
On some distros C-a | will split horizontally which is usually a bit better if you have wide screens.
