what happens if you retweet something that was posted by someone who protects their tweets?

@mairin depends on the client. old inline quote-style retweet exposes it, new retweet API refuses to retweet it.

@mairin Horrible answer, but, it depends how you RT it. My understanding is, you can't do it from the site, but some apps with userstreams..

@mairin .. can seem to retweet, but it gets lost, never shows up. Obviousy older apps like this one can RT as mention cos there's nothing...
