I DID IT I DID IT!! Successfully installed Statusnet on Arch webserver running #nginx instead of apache! :D
-
@jk DO NOT SUBSCRIBE TO ME HERE, just putting the url for show-n-tell: http://micro.jonkulp.net/
-
Nice work. I haven’t even tried that one yet.
-
@jpope it was fun. Not sure how much benefit I'll get performance-wise but now I know some of the nginx basics. Might blog it for reference.
-
@jk Right on. I wonder if the twitterbridge would run on it…
-
@jk I’d put it in a blog post. I’ve been wanting to check out nginx more but, just haven’t gotten to it yet..
-
@jpope I'll do that. Gotta go back through & find everything I changed from defaults, lines added to config files, etc. Making notes now.
-
@jpope spoke too soon. I believe my queuedaemon problem is related to new ver. of php. Fatal errors calling to undefined functions.
-
@jpope yeah, probably. Since I don't have OStatus enabled it's not affecting the site, but still it's good to find this out now.
-
@jpope maybe somebody could patch daemon.php to work with 5.4 but I dont' know how to do it.
-
@jk If you wanted to roll it back to 5.3 you can, check my response here: http://forum.status.net/discussion/comment/9781/#Comment_9781
-
@jk Figuring it out and patching it is beyond my skills as well…
-
@jpope I don't like the idea of rolling back. I never had 5.3 installed so it may not be so easy.
-
@mvdan but are you running PHP 5.4.3?
-
@jk I am running the latest one from Arch Linux, which I suppose is 5.4.3. Why?
-
@mvdan just checking. That's what I'm on too. I get this trying to run daemon: PHP Fatal error: Call to undefined func…
-
@jk I don't recall seeing any errors related to PID's. Which daemon are you trying to run?
-
@mvdan queuedaemon.php
-
@jk Mine throw no errors at all. Mind e-mailing? 140 chars are not enough.
-
@mvdan yeah we can email but it'll probably have to wait a few hours. :(
-
@mvdan fine my email here: http://jonathankulp.org/contact.html
