@johnnynull Doesn’t the freedom of choice element apply here?
-
Bump it to 0 ! #nolimit
-
ooh. didna know that. /me goes back to settings.
-
i usually don't go over, but why limit myself?
-
Yeah, 280 characters is a really good limit. I’ve had that ever since I installed my own instance. Works really well for me.
-
@johnnynull People will still see the first ~140 characters, and then they can then make a decision on whether to read the rest from there.
-
@johnnynull Sorry, I wasn’t trying to teach you to suck eggs, I was questioning your “I won’t read it” when the first 140 are already there.
-
@thelovebug I rarely read a "read more" dent too, well, I rarely "read more" to see the full thing
-
@thelovebug Identica also grows increasingly annoying if more people up their limits so a higher proportion in the timeline are like that
-
@thelovebug still, the same applies to G+ with a link
-
@thistleweb I personally don’t understand what’s annoying about it. Its not hurting anyone, is it? Live with it, cos it ain’t going away :o)
-
@johnnynull Absolutely, I couldn’t agree more. I’m just representing the other side of the equation.
-
@thelovebug @thistleweb What happens to 140 char T clones if T decides to raise its limit? The 140 was only b/c of SMS.
-
@thelovebug @thistleweb That’s what I think the #Posterous purchase is likely to bring: expanded post sizes, types (blog), and formatting.
