I still think 1 desktop flavor per user on a single shared machine is rare. Heard some good cases that dont meet all those criteria I think.

@mairin the examples I saw were mad, installing the whole de for some of the applications instead of just installing the apps..

@tekk yeh that i dont understand. i use several great KDE apps on my GNOME 3 system, never had to explicitly install KDE.

@mairin computer lab at the uni, shouldn't each user be entitled to choose what DE to use?

@lxoliva lab case is outside of scope - don't argue with you - but labs not installed via gui if theyre done right

@mairin oh, so it will still be possible to kickstart (= anaconda) computer labs with many DEs? I got the idea it wouldn't

@mairin I guess it may help to distinguish anaconda gui from anaconda ks when talking about exposed features

@mairin because, to me, anaconda has been no more than the official kickstart interpreter for very many years ;-)
