Anna's charity was bid candy for the Work Programme. Now it's bankrupt http://is.gd/cjdkUx

@Thistleweb. If you or @Laurelrusswurm or @Kevie ban someone is there a procedure or is that it?
-
@satipera you lost me
-
@satipera silencing spammers?
-
@Thistleweb You are an identica censor or not?
-
@satipera I have sliencing powers yes, meaning I can silence accounts so they don't show up, it doesn't delete them, sorta filter them out
-
@satipera meaning it silences them fro EVERYBODY, where blocking an account is a personal thing, blocking them from you only
-
@Thistleweb is there an open and transparent page of instructions for Identica censors?
-
@satipera not as far as I know, it's more or less a common sense thing among folks who have been deemed trustworthy of the extra power
-
@satipera silenced accounts content can be seen by other moderators, so they can tell if something is unfairly silenced & reverse it
-
@satipera it'd be handy for moderators to see which mod silenced an account too, as an accountability thing, I've done one & dented it
-
@satipera I didn't ask to be a mod either, I just happened to notice one day that I had an extra button apparently giving me mod powers
-
@satipera so someone must have decided my anti-spammer bias was tempered by trying to be fair & responsible was worthy of mod powers
-
@satipera I am curious why the questions
-
@satipera We can use moderator power to silence, so no one (but us, ironically) can see the spammers dents.
-
@satipera but if you want to use the loaded language please feel free.
-
@satipera we do have a very clear TOS linked from every page.
-
@satipera in particular, it disallows spam; see http://identi.ca/doc/tos
-
Who silenced which account can be seen since some days. Take a look in the sidebar under "Moderation".(probably only visible for ModHelpers)
