@evan Twitter publish fails make daemons becoming crazy, including ostatus. Result is that queue is not polled anymore :-/ cc @gordontesos

I've disabled the Twitter bridge on *.status.net sites and on identi.ca.

@gordontesos and, no, we didn't design StatusNet specifically for Twitter outages, but it's probably smart to make it work better for them.

@evan having separate outgoing queue could be a solution. Failing one will fill up without disturbing the others. @gordontesos

You can actually isolate the queues; there's a trick to it. $config['queue']['breakout'][] = 'main/twitter'; in config.php

@evan great tips which, I guess, only work with stomp/AMQP server, not with db based queues, right ?

However, it would be nice if the queue were persistent while Twitter was down, and would drain once Twitter was back up.

I'd like Identi.ca and I to be exclusive, and Twitter to pick up my seconds. But how can I do that if Identi.ca keeps removing features?

@evan I’m not sure how it works, but since twitter was down, I didn’t fetch any status at all… I thought the twitter queue was blocking

Hi Evan. Thanks. One is the ability to email a "secret" address to post updates, and the other (Twitter bridge, I think) appears to be back.
