The Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 I have at work just got 4.0.4, while my Motorola Xoom got 4.1.1 last week. !Android

ok, Motorolla has faster updates but which one performs better?
-
@ytezcan The Xoom doesn't have the bloat of Samsung's skin on it; it runs vanilla Jelly Bean.
-
@takeshitakenji #Xoom is the winner then. Actually Samsung is always late on firmware updates.
-
I thought the GTab 10.1 was quite good, proprietary connector aside, but it has languished so long on Honeycomb. #couldabeenacontender

@takeshitakenji awesome! Mine is still on 3.1. I hope it's an international deploy for that update
-
@gabrielsaldana Wess, I went through 4.0.3 before 4.1.1, so I don't know if you'll be getting the update. You might as well try #CM10.
-
@dbs My Galaxy S never went past Froyo, so I went CM7, then an AOSP ICS ROM, then I physically broke it on accident.
-
@dbs Now that I have a Galaxy Nexus, I don't need to care about how bad Samsung is with updates.

@gabrielsaldana Err, *well.
-
I am still waiting for 4.1 for my Nexus S 4G
-
@mohanpram The GSM Nexus S already got 4.1.
-
hm... one more reason for me to take a closer look at Motorola Xoom...
-
@takeshitakenji yeah, mine is CDMA. Those GSM peeps seem to be first priority
-
@takeshitakenji Maybe I’ll eventually see 4.0.4 for my gtab 8.9. Then again, I’ve got to wait for at&t to get done filling it with crap…
-
@mohanpram Probably because Google lets the other companies handle the CDMA version.
-
@holystrange You probably want a tablet that's not over a year old, though.
-
@takeshitakenji oh no doubt about it, I am sure it has to do with my carrier.
