Well, that and switching desktops and moving stuff around is faster, easier, and quicker in Gnome shell.

Ok, Unity just wasn't working well for me in 11.10, changed it to Gnome shell. How that 2nd monitor is used is the key for me personally.

I will say this much about Ubuntu 11.10, it sure is appealing to my eyes.

Kind of weird you have to install Synaptic Package Manager in Ubuntu 11.10.
