@hoelzro if explicit is better than implicit, /usr/bin/python should not exist.

@vertexsymphony ignorantguru's account of the !archlinux devs attitude is fud. The true attitude towards the issue is "patches welcome".
-
@vertexsymphony there's not a lack of interest in security in !archlinux. Just a lack of initiative and contributors.
-
@nuclearsandwich we should probably discuss this in more than 140 characters
-
@nuclearsandwich it should probably follow the scientific method of isolating 1 variable. So "keep it simple, stupid, but sign the packages"
-
@nuclearsandwich that's worth looking into, but doesnt !archserver use the same mirrors as !archlinux?
-
@nuclearsandwich the fork could continue until it, or a similar solution, is merged. As long as there is a community to sustain it...
-
!archlinux users wanting pkg signing should fork. Not permanently. Just as an experiment to prove a working solution. Thoughts?
-
@johnnynull there's also helping people on the forums and irc. And bug squashing day, of course.
-
@johnnynull agreed. the conclusion I've came to is that it's time to stop being an end-user and start being a contributor
-
@encyclomundi yes, it's definitely concerning. What I found wrong with the article was his depiction of the devs attitude towards the matter
-
looked into it. IgnorantGuru's article about !archlinux package signing is... ignorant. But there should be more initiative for a solution
-
this bottom comment is seriously making me reconsider switching from !archlinux to anything else. http://bit.ly/hORUV7 Thoughts?
