@anima109: From my understanding, no. It uses a lot of compositing, which would make it heavier than a standard Gnome instance.

thanks for the suggestion to disable selinux in !fedora all. didn't think that was an option. all is well. I really do like the distro.

@josemaria even with that, there's a lot of things httpd isn't allowed to do, and I don't have time to wade through a bunch of confs.
