So sad! I'm still missing phonon-backend-xine for those jobs. It has been hard to realize it's gone. Hope other options can make it soon

phonon-backend-vlc makes a better job on my !openSUSE 11.4 !KDE 4.8.3 !Amarok 2.5.0 than oS-12.1. No clues why?

I don't like #gstreamer #phonon backend in !Amarok, it sounds like a scratched disc, I miss #Xine in my !openSUSE !Linux, it worked great

@amon0thoth1 VLC 2.0.1 from Packman, but phonon-backend-vlc packman version is 0.4.1 and it gives a requirement warning and ask to downgrade

@alpvonkri Using VLC vers.:1.1.13 with Phonon-backend-vlc vers.: 0.3.2-1.2 from Packman. No complaints in Amarok either.

Any good trick to pull lyrics for !Amarok 2.5.0 !KDE 4.8.1 using phonon-backend-vlc. Amarok scripts are not working here. What do I misded?

@amon0thoth1 make sure you have version 0.2.0 of the qtscript bindings installed

@amon0thoth1 !amarok scripts don't work on KDE4.8 b/c of qtscriptgenerator not working anymore with Qt4.8 - google about it
