Noticing that !Banshee often crashes when I click on Play. #suboptimal

@carlopiana I was hoping for more from a music player. Although I can be quite demanding.
-
@davidmarsden: now you're sounding a bit of a whiner? ;-)
-
@carlopiana Maybe he could change his name to 'Dave Winer' and invent RSS.

Argh! I'm sick of #gnome-do suddenly deciding it needs 100% of my cpu. Can anyone recommend a replacement? !lo !linux
-
@bigbrovar RB doesn't' allow imporation of OML files & no ability to browse by album art. Banshee tries to be too much, video playback?
-
@pseudomorph hmm those don't sound like deal breakers to me. Anyway have u tried gmusicbrowser?
-
@bigbrovar Neither are deal breakers, just what attracted me to bashee over RB. Hadn't heard of gmusicbrowser, at a glace looks interesting

Having !banshee generate a playlist based on score is so much better than just playing my whole collection on random.

@xsteadfastx What version of Banshee? I had no issues with 1.80 under clean 10.10 install. Just forgot to install LAME for MP3 Rip. DOH!

Any !lo, or other, folk know why output volume from !banshee is significantly lower than from Rhythmbox/MPlayer/Totem etc? I'm stumped.

@pseudomorph have you checked your pulse audio settings? each application has it's own volume setting in there when running
-
@pseudomorph there should be a tab listing the running apps with audio output showing the sound levels for each one http://is.gd/glOUW
