@dennisgut !coreboot currently doesn't support !ARM SoCs. But the boot firmware on these boards is usually DAS U-Boot, which is !FS already.

@thb well, I'd prefer ARM anyways bec. of the better energy consumption (+fighting monoculture), but they're not as fast as x86, I fear :(

@thb While #ARM is nice, #x86 also has potential using !coreboot, a free software !BIOS / !firmware. Increasingly more boards are supported.

@bkuhn Flashing a !BIOS with !freesoftware on !linux is is possible with !flashrom. Many supported boards. Laptops are difficult, though.
