Anyone who knows what software is used to make the !CreativeCommons newsletter? It is very shiny.

@mlinksva First: It makes me quite happy to learn that you use !CiviCRM for CreativeCommons. I was talking about the print version, the PDF.

    • Mike Linksvayer Mike Linksvayer

@mjjzf I don't think we've had a PDF newsletter in awhile. Those were put together by CC Philippines, don't know what software they used.

@mlinksva Okay, right - I did not see how fresh it was, just that it looked very nice! Thank you for the feedback.

Are !CiviCRM components AGPL like #CiviCRM core?

about 11 months ago from web at Toronto, Ontario, Canada
    • Mike Linksvayer Mike Linksvayer GNU Affero General Public Licence

@balleyne I'd think #civicrm modules need to be; it is the !AGPL not the LAGPL.

    • Blaise Alleyne Blaise Alleyne Mike Linksvayer

@mlinksva: that was my guess too. I suppose I was looking more to confirm there was no proprietary relicensing.

Is it possible when using !CiviCRM on top of !Drupal using the same MySQL for both? Working with organisation where 1 db is included in host

about a year ago from heybuddy at Odense, South Denmark, Denmark
    • yareckon yareckon

@mjjzf yes, it is possible to run civicrm and drupal in the same db. They both support prefixing tables.

@mjjzf don't know about CiviCRM but in !Drupal you can prefix your table names eg 'drupal_node_type'

@yareckon @smscotten Thank you. That will make things a bit easier.

Another reason to enjoy !civicrm: it's easy to backport code from 3.2 to 1.7beta (the backporting will help to upgrade a big project, soon)

!CiviCRM is constituent relationship management that runs on !Joomla, but their blog runs on #Drupal & their forum on #SMF. #WTF??

@chriswaterguy to be fair !CiviCRM runs on !drupal as well as !joomla - so they could have used either for their blog

@chriswaterguy !CiviCRM runs on Drupal, Joomla, and as a standalone application.
