     @aurele every openbox-based desktop has had a bunch of conflicts w/ emacs in its default setup until i tried !puppylinux

     @aurele but even puppy's few shortcuts conflict with paredit's CM-arrow. Emacs vs Desktop? Emacs wins. Desktops come and go, !emacs abides

2. Stephen Uitti emacs , Lisp (programming language) , emacs lisp

   As an !emacs user since '79, and !lisp since '77, really should dive into !elisp. What's a good place to start?
