     @al3hex You install emulators/virtio-kmod either as a package or from ports and load the modules in loader.conf. !FreeBSD 9.1

     @al3hex Followed by simple edits to fstab for vtbd device and rc.conf for vtnet device. Easy although I'm still assessing performance gain.
