Anyone using Voice/Video ( #vv ) within !Pidgin over !XMPP ? It works for me but ultra jerky, high cpu usage and a few hundred kB/s usage :(

Made a call to USA and had some buffer issues. #empathy has better integration (it rings!) and I wish there was some echo cancellation.

@durand is not gtalk just a XMPP? if os you should try using XMPP (or jabber) from pidgin - it does work for me

@darkestkhan I am using XMPP. It used to work but suddenly stopped. Maybe its because I'm on holiday away from home so google is blocking it

@durand that would be strange - whenever I move somewhere gtalk is just working, no problems for me... you are not in China by chance?

What !xmpp client you running? !Gajim !Psi !Swift !VacuumIM? Or 'only' Pidgin, Miranda & Co? Me: Psi+ Gajim and sometimes Swift.

@exotherm: empathy because of its integration in my desktop.. and often glancing at gajim which is indeed the best gtk client around :)
