I asked !Xfce power manager to turn off the screen on my laptop when idle, but it just turns black. Still glows. !greencomputing

@chriswaterguy change the monitor sleep mode under “advanced” tab, should work then !xfce

@kaimi Got it, thanks - I only had it set to sleep on battery, not AC.

@appropedia Not really needed imo. Especially if you're the only user using the machine, and you connect to the net from behind a firewall.

@appropedia selinux might be worthwhile if your laptop must use untrustworthy network connections, but it's really hard to set up.
