Reinstalling !windows due to school, but after formatting everything to fat32 with gparted livecd, it still boots to !grub resque, help?

@silner grub series 1.9x is grub 2. Earlier versions are grub 'legacy' better known as just 'grub'.

@silner I'm skeptical that GRUB will ever hit 2.0; just like it was never *quite* ready for 1.0.

@lukeshu I don't think it really matters, 1.9x (2beta) is stable, and is already being adopted by distros.

Coaxing !grub to boot from !luks with a #keyfile:root par is LVM:normally np but w/cryptokey=/dev/sdx1/ the #kernel panics.Time for bed! :P

@danielmarti It actually saw it, and I had to change it to the Windows partition. I could temporarily switch it back to the rescue.

@danielmarti I can't remember how to do that either, so I might install some freedombox services on it this summer.

I've made a decision. I'll dual boot !debian sid and !fedora. Next step, fedora rawhide or !arch. !linux !grub !gnu

Reformatted and reinstalled !ubuntu, after trying everything else and what greets me? The same !grub error! It's not funny anymore grub!

@nidhoggstrike did you try letting windows take over the boot record and then let grub take over it? Maybe it's time. If it's a newer grub..
