Nice day to take a light hand to some Yirgacheffe... !homeroast
-
I completely baked some Panamanian coffee last week, but this monsooned Bali came out great after a long rest. !homeroast
-
Back to trying to roast more at home. Today's sick-day coffee: Costa Rica San Martin de Leon Cortes. Fruits & nuts, of course. !homeroast
-
Well, this rich Panamanian came out better than the fruity Costa Rican I half-baked last weekend. !homeroast
-
Just for fun: Tried a light roast for a Yemen Mokha. Interestingly gingery, not sure if I like it. !homeroast
-
Yup, the monsooned Bali needed that long rest. Mellowed out, but still quite different. !homeroast
-
Monsooned Bali is sharply spicy right off the roast. Definitely needs that longer rest.
-
@jasonriedy 'sharply spicy' sounds just right to me ;)

Stash restocked. Yemen, Ethiopia, Costa Rica, Panama, Honduras, and Bali. !homeroast

Ordering coffee to replenish the stash. Too many neat options... !homeroast

Bag-finishing blend of an Ecuadorian Zumba µlot and a Brazil Moreninha Formosa ("raisin") to City+: rich, rounded with citrus. !homeroast
-
Last week's peppery-sweet aged Sumatran was good. See how the Brazilian "raisin" Formosa comes out soon. !homeroast
-
Well, at least one thing's going well. The La Minta taken to the 2nd crack has a neat cocoa base flavor. !homeroast
-
Costa Rica La Minta in a City roast: Mountain of fruit with a base of cocoa. Will take to City+/FC next time. !homeroast
-
Spent so long roasting funky coffees, forgot how cleanly trad. CR La Minta goes. Try flavor tomorrow. V. thankful for that gift! !homeroast
-
Oh, no. I need to order coffee soon, and @sweetmarias has a frightful amount of good Ethiopian. Must not limit self... !homeroast
-
After another day's rest, my City roast Yirgacheffe blossomed while keeping its earthy roots. !homeroast
-
The shakiso sidamo I roasted this morning has potential, but needs to mellow a bit. !homeroast
-
Slow-roasting Yirgacheffe up to a melange of a City gave me a nice, bright coffee. Wish the farm weren't anonymous. !homeroast
-
Cool! @sweetmarias is carrying #coffee from a Rwandan woman's coop. http://www.sweetmarias.com/weblog/?p=1544 !homeroast

This Colombian Cauca had a floral smell straight out of the roaster. A little rest, and it tastes great at FC. !homeroast
