Just pushed the "bad" fix for reply-to-all to !identicamode, I can't make overlays work on older emacs, so it'll have to do for now.
-
I think the bug that's been keeping me from releasing overlay support for !identicamode is a misconfiguration on one of my test systems :P
-
!identicamode won't update without me entering my username and password.

@gabrielsaldana yes, I did use the git identica-mode, but I could switch to the bzr emacs if you think that would help.
-
@kete not really, the git version is the most stable one. I never tried spaces in passwords, I'll check that. Try using oauth
-
@gabrielsaldana, oauth said, "No usable browser found".
-
-
Overlays were causing performance issues in !identicamode, but remembered something about them accumulating, (remove-overlays) fixed it :)
-
pushed a few minor text property related fixes to devel. !identicamode
-
@gabrielsaldana can you think of a problem with making mouse-face, uri, source and face properties un-sticky? !identicamode
-
@gabrielsaldana I'll push a few changes when I get home that address this, I'll poke you when I do it so you can look if you want.
-
@kevingranade I only have 3G internet access at home, but I'll take a look at it tomorrow morning
-
@gabrielsaldana yea, no hurry of course, just wanted your input since it has a global effect.
-
-
@gabrielsaldana fixed the !identicamode bug where commands would fail when point is at the last character of a notice. Will push ASAP.
-
@gabrielsaldana crap, there's a bug to my fix, it makes formatting (particularly underlining) of the preceeding character extend to EOL.
-
-
I'm obviously losing it, finished coding support for automatically decoding rot13/base64/gzipped notices in !identicamode. cc @eightyeight
-
@kevingranade w00t! :)
-
-
!identicamode can easily access timelines (public, group, conversation) on remote servers, the question is the UI, whic…
-
@parlementum @kevingranade that can be achieved with what I proposed. Independent buffers for any timeline !identicamode
-
@kevingranade The issue is handling the refresh timers and http calls for each buffer
-
@gabrielsaldana yea, I can see that part getting tricky. do you think it should try to update all at once, or just an active one?
-
-
Sweet! I accidentally added the ability to crawl remote statusnet instances to !identicamode!
-
@kevingranade Well done!
-
@johnnynull most of it is in the devel branch, the last (single word) piece I haven't pushed yet.
-
-
Pushed remote-user-timeline feature to !identicamode devel branch (C-c,C-o). Let me know how you like it, or if it breaks.
-
!identicamode get-remote-user-timeline feature seems to be working ok now, just a little cleanup and I'll push to devel.
-
Woot! Successfully retrieved a remote user timeline with !identicamode. Now some cleanup. Surprisingly invasive to the code :(
-
Well done!
-
-
Just pushed a reply-to-all feature to !identicamode devel branch, let me know if it has any issues. cc @johnnynull
-
@johnnynull cool, there's one known issue, if the source notice has @concatenated@usernames I think it might get confus…
-
@johnnynull @concatenated@usernames nevermind, it just leaves them concatenated, good enough :)
-
@kevingranade I'll try to test it more robustly. :)
-
-
Thanks to all those who have worked, or are currently working on !identicamode. I'm enjoying it.
- Evan Prodromou and Christopher Allan Webber like this.
-
@gabrielsaldana Sweet! Thanks!
-
@johnnynull I have this prototyped now, will push to devel branch when I get home tonight.
-
@kevingranade Awesome! Can't wait to give it a go!
-
anyone know a good gtk+ statusnet client?
-
@coyo define failed. re: identicurse clone the git or compile from source its fast and easy.
-
@parlementum i'm trying.
-
@coyo hotot is a POS last I looked. Identica-mode, Heybuddy, Turpial, in that order.
-
-
Bleh, worked on limited rendering feature for !identicamode sporadically all weekend, still having a notice ordering issue.
-
Prototyping a method for !identicamode to only render new dents instead of re-rendering all displayed dents.
-
Just pushed basic multi-account support to !identicamode devel branch, please let me know what you think.
-
steeping my !tea with the aid of !emacs #tea-mode :) http://ur1.ca/3uvfr
- rozzin's identicat ghost likes this.
-
@sazius !identicamode has hooks that you can use to communicate with the desktop notification system
-
@sazius I have it configured with knotify, since I use KDE
-
OK, there would probably be smth similar for Gnome. Although just opening up a buffer or something in Emacs that stays open would be enough.
