   how can i change !gtk -based themes (such on #nautilus and so on), outside !gnome , like when on !fluxbox and !jwm , and have them lasting?

     @nitrofurano You can use gtk-chtheme, or copy theme's gtkrc to your ~/.gtkrc

     @nitrofurano do it with lxappearance, gtk-chtheme... or edit directly ~/.gtkrc-2.0

     @lupyxe my case were installing !puppylinux on an old hardware not plenty of ram, which you can't have even !crunchbang installed..

     @lupyxe it's hard to find online info about how to install and edit #xdm configuration (#gdm seems to heavy..) on !puppylinux :(
