I don't like the fact I need those extra bits - would be nice for them to work in Gnome without them - I use gedit.

Yes, the extras forced along with this software cause strange errors. It should be make like gnome, xfce, lxde, etc.

I don't see why we need them. All we should need is QT if we are not using KDE

Weird; anyone with a suggestion as to why Transmission-gtk does not follow my GTK theme on !Mint !Debian & instead picks some ugly default?

Almost every GTK app I use on respects KDE settings regarding GTK apps, except Transmission.

@schaiba you know that #transmission also has a qt version? It's not uniquely a gtk+ application any more

I quite like the !Opensuse !Gnome2 menu - was that Slab? I wonder: Has that been ported? Would love it on !Linux !Mint !Debian MATE edition.
