@adiblol Incidentally, is .83 your preferred speed for playing music? I go for .74074 because it's like playing a 45 at 33⅓ rpm.

@miblo it comes from mplayer where i could choice one of .91, .83 or .75. .75 is too slow for me. i have never really played with turntable.

Wondering how many !linux gurus use #MPD as their primary music player. PS: Me using !Rhythmbox and !Songbird.

@corewarrior Ah, I sometimes use !mplayer in terminal, but for video placyback, not music. :)

@lovenemesis @corewarrior mplayer is still THE player with the best codec support for me … if everything else fails, mplayer won't. :-)

@lovenemesis I'm not sure if I qualify as a guru, but I'm using mpd exclusively ever since I found it. It just feels so...naturally unixy:)

@lovenemesis the stupid part is as a codec patentholder, mplayer/libav gets it OUT THERE. the money is in hardware en/decoding anyway!
