      @phunehehe !NixOS keeps your system clean. It doesn't have nearly so many packages though.

      @theancientgoat Good point, I asked if they'd consider a change of wording on the NixOS page. NixOS seems well beyond "experimental" now.

      @theancientgoat IIUC they are proposing a new cross distro/platform package format. Nix doesn't interfere with the host system, unlike RPM

      @goibhniu I think it's not a new package format, instead an API for finding packages (essentially). The point about Nix is interesting tho
