@copyme There's been talk on the !openmoko mailing list about it (http://is.gd/tRuxMc) I still hold that it looks like a fun device.
-
@copyme Oh, a nice follow-up was posted today about licensing as well http://is.gd/wMd0Ab
-
@losinggeneration THX for the links. Now I use very cheap Chinese tablet with Android but I love kde and I want to use Plasa Active.

It's just that I don't have an OpenMoko phone to put into the case.
-
Hey people, are you really going to let me get a !OpenMoko !FreeRunner carrying case +headset for $1? If only this was for the phone itself!
Danny Piccirillo likes this.

@trashheap I don't see free hardware info at http://thewikireader.com/ . Also, you should turn off shortening: http://identi.ca/settings/url

It turns out the #WikiReader comes with 2 AAAs so no extra battery purchase required. Quite liking it; wish I had bought more. :)

@swt Also you may want to follow the new GTA04 !Openmoko Motherboard in production it seems like a likely target.
about 3 months ago from web-
@swt I think it's on the roadmap but haven't seen anything in their news feed about targeting it yet.
-
@swt There are multiple partitions which have to be considered. A recovery (such as clockwork) is your best bet.
-
@swt They might be supported but please dont go for the Dream or the Magic. They're tooo outdated.

@micu Targetting themselves at device vendors? If they are not interested then I cannot see the project going anywhere.
-
@neildarlow Well, end-users MAY use the stuff directly, as well, even if its not targetted at them. That's the cool thing about FOSS ;)
-
My !Freerunner which wouldnt boot or charge now does! Dunno Why!? Maybe I can try #SHR … Is the GPS app on par w/ OSMAnd? #Android !Openmoko
